Our Signature pieces are shaped by the natural character of each pearl. Design begins not with a sketch, but with the pearl itself, allowing its individuality to guide form and balance. Selected for rarity and quality, no two pieces are ever identical.
When any piece is sold and needs reproduction, the delicate process may take up to several weeks or longer sourcing pearls of equal character, reflecting the care required to preserve integrity and harmony.
Our signature pieces take months or even years to come to life, as the journey to not only craft pieces at this level but matching the pearls in terms of luster, shape and color is a very meticulous process; a testament to patience, precision and the pursuit of perfection.
1st Step
Ideation
At MATTAR, every creation begins with the pearl. Chosen first, it defines the character and direction of each design. Its natural form, color and individuality guide the ideation process, allowing craftsmanship to respond rather than impose.
Inspiration is drawn from the world around us, from the movement of the sea and the geometry of architecture to the quiet rhythms of nature. Bahrain’s waters produce a remarkable spectrum of natural pearl colors, each offering a distinct starting point for design and expression.

2nd Step
Creation
Creation at MATTAR is defined by precision and patience. Sourcing pearls of the right size, character, and luster can take months or longer, shaping both the pace and outcome of each piece.
We celebrate the pearls as the stars of our creations, with gemstones and 18kt gold used to support rather than compete. From sourcing to production, each stage is handled in house to ensure consistency and integrity.
Pearls cannot be cut or altered, they are set exactly as nature formed them, making every creation singular and unrepeatable.
